Bungee Jumping in Greece

Bungee Jumping in Greece has become very popular over the last decade. Although at the beginning there was a terror in the sight of an audacious bungee jumper, today more and more people dare to try this. The areas where people jump from are closely linked to bridges, especially those at the Isthmus in Corinth Canal Bridge and at Aradaina Bridge in Crete, the second tallest in Europe.

Corinth Canal Bridge, Corinthos, Peloponnese

One of the landmarks of the region and a major attraction for visitors, is the Corinth Canal. Build in 1893, the canal connects the Corinthian Gulf with the Saronic Gulf and is 4 mi/6.4 km long and 80.7 ft. / 24.6 m wide. The bridge over the canal that joins the mainland of Greece with Peloponnese is where the real action begins. At a maximum height of 255.9 ft. / 78 m the adrenaline seekers will have a blast, jumping off the bridge and into the canal. Suitable for all, this bungee site will please even the most demanding jumpers, as the wind tunnel created by the narrow walls can make you corkscrewing, as you are falling down.

Aradaina Bridge, Sfakia, Chania, Crete Island

The gorge of Aradaina is one of the most significant and impressive gorges of Crete. Its entrance is located at the deserted village of Aradaina, which is to be found at the western end of the plateau of Anopoli Sfakion, below the imposing, high peaks of the Lefka Ori mountain range. Since 1986 the village has been connected by road to Anopolis and the rest of the road network via a spectacular Bailey bridge that spans the deep gorge. Near the entrance to the gorge is an iron Bailey bridge, at a high of 138 meters which is the tallest bridge in Greece and the second tallest in Europe, therefore ideal for Bungee.
